Mountains and glaciers are most commonly visited in the winter, for winter sports. Less well known are the same mountain valleys and meadows at this time of the year. Spring is the time of massive flower blooms, which makes them an irresistable sight, apart from the fact that some of them are only accessible for short periods in the summer due to heavy snowfall in the winter months.
