The Adelaide University, Adelaide, Australia is seeking international students who are willing to receive a scholarship for their Master’s degree or Doctoral research degree in Philosophy. The scholarship will cover course tuition fees for two years for a Master’s degree and three years for a Doctoral research degree. An extension of the scholarship is possible for doctoral programs. Deadline for applications is April 30.

Moreover, candidates will receive a living allowance of approximately $26,288 (the living allowance in 2016) annually for the period of their educational program. For those students who will obtain the Student Visa (Subclass 500), the award will provide compulsory standard Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC).

Main criteria

  • Applicants are required to have successfully completed at least the equivalent of an Australian First Class Honours degree;
  • The main criteria for scholarships to be awarded are academic merit and research potential;
  • Extra-curricular achievements are not considered;
  • Candidates must provide evidence of their meeting the minimum English language proficiency requirements for direct entry by the scholarship closing date.
