Journalism 360 Challenge 2018

Applications for the second Journalism 360 Challenge are now open. This is the call for ideas using immersive storytelling to discover new ways to engage audiences and advance the field of journalism. The deadline is on 28th of June.

Become the part of Journalism 360 Challenge: Submit your ideas on how on accelerate immersive storytelling in news to win a share of $200,000, which hey will award at the Online News Association conference on September 13015, in Austin, Texas, USA. There will be ten grants of up to $20,000 each to test, refine and build out a project.

In addition to the funding opportunity, Challenge winners become part of the Journalism 350 ecosystem and have access to the ambassador team and a growing network of immersive storytellers.

Main criteria

  • The challenge is open to journalists, technologists, entrepreneurs, software developers and academics, news organisations, startups, businesses, nonprofits and individuals, anywhere in the world;
  • The applications must be completed in English to receive evaluation.
