Rotary Peace Fellowships

Each year, the Rotary Foundation selects up to 100 professionals from around the world to receive fellowships to study at one of the world’s peace centres. Through academic training, practice, and global networking opportunities, the Rotary Peace Centers program develops leaders who become catalysts for peace and conflict prevention and resolution. These fellowships cover tuition and fees, room and board, round-trip transportation, and all internship and field-study expenses. Deadline to apply is 31st of May.

The Rotary Peace Fellowship is designed for professionals with work experience in international relations or peace and conflict prevention and resolution. There are several Master’s degree programs that last up to 24 months and a Professional development certificate program lasting for two or three months. The programs will take place in one of the Rotary Peace Centers. They are based in universities in the USA, Japan, England, Australia, Thailand, and Sweden.

Main criteria

  • Successful candidates should demonstrate proficiency in English (a second language is strongly recommended);
  • Commitment to international understanding and peace, and leadership skills;
  • Master’s degree applicants should have at least three years of related full-time work or volunteer experience and should have obtained a bachelor’s degree;
  • Certificate applicants should have at least five years of related full-time work or volunteer experience and a strong academic background.

In order to participate, candidates should fill out an online form, attach the required supplementary materials (test scores, academic or professional recommendations, and essays), and submit them no later than 31 May.
