The Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) is the premier global competition for students who own and operate a business while attending college or university. Nominees compete against their peers from around the world in a series of local and/or national competitions in hopes to qualify for GSEA Finals. The deadlines depend on the country and are in October-November 2018.
Individual women’s empowerment champions, civil society, public and private institutions are encouraged to apply for the princess Sabeeka Bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Global Award. The initiative aims to highlight the contribution of the public and private sector, civil society and women’s rights champions to worldwide efforts for the empowerment of women and girls. Award value for the public sector, private sector, civil society and individual award is 100,000 USD. The deadline is August 31st.
Open Technology Fund awards are aimed to support organisations that promote secure access to technology and human rights. Payment is issued on completion of stated objectives, activities, and deliverables per a schedule outlined in the contract. OTF’s target support ceiling is $300,000, with most supported efforts receiving between $50,000 and $200,000. The deadline is on September 1st.
Individuals and organisations who contribute to achievements of the SDGs goals are welcome to apply for the King Hamad Youth Empowerment Award 2018. The deadline is on October 30th.
The European Youth Award is a pan-European contest to motivate young people, social entrepreneurs, and star-ups to produce digital projects that will have an impact on society. The annual EYA Festival is an event combining knowledge, innovation, networking and motivation. This year it will take place from 28 November to 1 December in Graz, Austria. The deadline is on 15th of July.
Are you an early-career statistician with the ability to write data-driven stories in an entertaining and thought-provoking way? If so, you are welcome to enter the 2018 Statistical Excellence Award for Early-Career Writing. The competition is jointly organised by Significance and the Young Statisticians Section of the Royal Statistical Society (RSS) and forms part of the RSS Statistical Excellence Awards programme.
