Yale Young Global Scholars Programme

Yale Young Global Scholars is an unparalleled academic and leadership summer program at Yale founded on the tenets of liberal arts, renowned for its diverse and inclusive community, and committed to increasing education access. The program is designed to allow students to experience learning in a variety of different university contexts, from large lectures to small seminars, and even the spontaneous learning that happens in dining halls and around campus. The deadline to apply in ongoing.

With no grades or course credit, YYGS encourages students to approach all aspects of the program creatively and with the understanding that they set their own limits. Students receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the session. Living in Yale’s residential college gives students a taste of life at Yale University.

Yale Young Global Scholars offers nine interdisciplinary sessions at Yale’s historic campus in New Haven, CT, and Yale Center Beijing offers YYGS-Beijing in their state of the art facilities in Beijing, China. All sessions share a single application, but students can indicate preferences for up to three sessions on the application. Students may only attend one session each summer.

The program runs in June-August 2019 and includes sessions in nternational affairs and globalisation, sustainable development, literature, sciences, politics, law and economics, creative arts and media, and many more!
