The World Youth Alliance Internship Program provides opportunities for young people to gain professional skills working on WYA’s projects and a substantive learning experience on WYA’s core values. Projects are designed to enhance each student’s specific academic background and interests. Deadlines vary depending on the regional office. For the winter internship the deadline is on the 1 December 2017.
Young Leaders Visitors Programme (YLVP) is a leadership programme for people who want to work for positive change in society – and in themselves. If you are open-minded and want a real learning challenge, apply for a seat among the YLVP. The call is open between 9 November and 5 December.
Global UGRAD provides one semester scholarships to outstanding undergraduate students from around the world for non-degree full-time study combined with community service, professional development, and cultural enrichment. The deadline to apply is on 31st of December.
Young women working in digital media are welcome to appy for the Poynter’s Leadership Academy. It is fourth year, that the Leadership Academy for Women in Digital Media is returning to campus in St. Petersburg, Florida, the week of March 18-23, 2018. At the Forum he will offer the participants some insights on how to get funding for their projects, and he will elaborate a bit further on how cryptocurrency can be an effective tool for startups. He will also talk about blockchains and ICO.

We are excited to publish the latest article interviewing one of workshop trainers for Youth Global Forum in Dubai, Dr. Delfina Fantini van Ditmar. Dr. Fantini will be travelling all the way from Santiago, Chile to share her knowledge and inspire participants at the event. Dr. Delfina Fantini completed her PhD at the Royal College of Art in Innovation Design Engineering. Her work investigates how complex, lived, human experience is represented within the quantified approaches inherent in current notions of ‘smart’ technology. Her research questions and critically analyses the above quantitative approach which is starting to permeate into our bodies and the central infrastructure of our homes and cities. Dr. Fantini will be hosting a workshop entitled, “The Importance of Ethics in the Process of Digitilization of Life”. This pre-event interview aims to provide Youth Global Forum participants with added insight and understanding as to what they can expect from the workshop, in addition to learning how to best prepare for the event.
The Heinz-Kühn-Foundation awards scholarships to young journalists from North-Rhine-Westphalia and developing countries for six-week or three-month reporting trips in developing countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Applications for the following year must be received by 30th of November.
