Tour Through Australia

One of the last trips that will feature an individual country will take us to Australia - the smallest continent in the world, where the distances are often greater than the distances separating the largest countries in Europe. Seventy percent of Australia’s area is covered with deserts or semi-deserts, which is why the greatest part of the Australian population lives in the cities on the coasts. The country's magnificent scenery attracts millions of tourists every year.

Tour Through Korea

Following up on our visit to Japan last week, we now move on to the neighbouring country of Korea. Divided  in 1948 into a communist North Korea and democratic South Korea, the two Korean regimes can boast, possibly, the most fortified border in the world. For many obvious reasons, these two countries present very contrasting systems. Check out our gallery.

Tour Through Japan

Last week we visited the USA.  This week we take a westwards direction from there and stop in another country – a country that counts a decent number of years in its own history, has an atmosphere that is filled with contrast, has held onto many of its traditions to the present time, and can probably boast the hardest-working people in the world. Visit Japan, the country of the rising sun.

Zlin Through Photographs

The town of Zlín, in the Czech Republic, is in many aspects a very unique place. The name Baťa doesn't need a lot of introduction worldwide. The Baťa shoe manufacturing enterprise was truly a revolutionary commercial concept that withstood many historical obstacles and grew into a business empire. The name Baťa is reflected in many ways within the town.  Now rare are, for example, the houses called Baťa houses, which Tomáš Baťa built for his rapidly increasing work force and which give the town its typical look. What all you should not miss while studying in Zlín. See our gallery.

Olomouc Through Photographs

University cities are the new topic of our weekly series, and the aim is to bring to our readers the best of the places that are truly students‘ cities. One of these is Olomouc in the Czech Republic – a beautiful small city nearly 300 km east of the capital of Prague. Whoever visits Olomouc will agree that it is a wonderful place to live. Olomouc’s slower pace, as the locals happily admit, makes people cheerful and welcoming. What more does Olomouc offer? See our photogallery.

Tour Through Peru

Following up on tours through Brazil and Venezuela from the last two weeks, we will stay for yet a while longer in Latin America and visit another country there - Peru. Apart from visiting the iconic Machu Picchu, there are other places to go in Peru. One thing is for certain. While most guides warn visitors about the dangerous parts of the Peruvian capital at Lima, nothing can threaten us while going through photographs of the places that are worth seeing.

The following article about the use of a basic food category is devoted to an item that in most minds should only be served raw. Fruit, nonetheless, offers many variations; and if the recipe allows, it can be cooked under low heat without losing any vitamins.
