The EU-Russia Civil Society Forum invites young professionals aged between 25 and 35 from the EU, Russia, and other European states for the annual "Europe Lab" Forum. The Forum will take place on 27–30 July 2017 in the Polish city of Gdańsk in cooperation with the European Solidarity Centre, which is the hosting organisation for this year’s “Europe Lab”. The deadline for applications is May 1st.
The Forum for Young Professionals “Europe Lab” is a unique communication and exchange platform for change makers from all over Europe who work in public administration, business, NGOs, universities, think tanks, and other fields of professional engagement. The main goals of “Europe Lab” are to enable cross-sector cooperation and to promote the exchange of ideas, develop partner and professional networks, and encourage common cross-border projects and initiatives all over Europe.
The programme of “Europe Lab” 2017 includes four 3-day intensive options – two workshops and two innovative formats – each of which is to be coordinated by an organisation and additional experts/speakers. Apart from working sessions, an additional programme will take place including discussions, cultural and networking events as well as a tour of the exhibition of the European Solidarity Centre, displaying the birth and development of the “Solidarność” movement.
The outputs of the workshops and innovative formats may be common international projects by participants, specific recommendations on the development of the City of Gdańsk, multimedia stories about and around the Forum, and others. The best common projects, whose ideas were elaborated during the Forum, will receive grants.
Main criteria:
- Applicants coming from EU countries, European countries, and Russia should be 35 years old or younger;
- Sufficient proficiency in the English language is essential as it is the Forum’s working language, and it will enable participants to express their thoughts and ideas;
- Participants should represent one of the categories, namely, public administration, business, NGOs, universities, and think tanks.
Costs for workshops, accommodation, and meals are covered by the organisers. Travel costs are borne by the participants themselves.
